COVID-19: 1,354 new cases and 4 deaths today, recovery rate is now 94.60%

Malaysia has recorded 1,354 new COVID-19 cases today which brings the total number of infections to 323,763. There are 4 new deaths reported and the death toll is now 1,210.

The Ministry of Health has reported 1,782 new recoveries and a total of 306,274 patients have recovered and discharged so far. The recovery rate is now 94.60% while the mortality rate is at 0.37%.

There are currently 16,279 active cases remaining which are receiving treatment. 158 are in ICU while 71 require respiratory support.

Out of the 1,354 new cases today, 14 are imported while 1,340 are transmitted locally. Selangor recorded the most with 577 cases, followed by Sarawak with 178 cases, Pulau Pinang with 154 cases and Johor with 121 cases.

The Ministry of Health has identified 3 new clusters today. This include Jalan Tun Mutalib Tiga cluster in Johor, Jalan Sutera cluster in Selangor and Begalak cluster in Sarawak.

A total of 64 clusters have recorded new cases. The Tembok Tapah cluster recorded the most with 57 cases, followed by Jalan Kebun Nenas cluster with 30 cases and Rawang Bestari cluster with 28 cases.
