Malaysia has recorded 2,154 new COVID-19 cases today which brings the total number of infections to 310,097. There are 6 new deaths reported and the death toll is now 1,159.
The Ministry of Health has reported 3,275 new recoveries and a total of 286,904 patients have recovered and discharged so far. The recovery rate is now 92.52% while the mortality rate is 0.37%.
There are currently 22,034 active cases remaining which are receiving treatment. 184 are in ICU while 87 require respiratory support.
Out of the 2,154 new cases today, 5 are imported while 2,149 are transmitted locally. Selangor recorded the most with 794 cases today, followed by Johor with 463 cases, Sarawak with 250 cases and Pulau Pinang with 119 cases.
