Leisure-centric eCurve mall at Mutiara Damansara will undergo a redevelopment after its existing shops are set to close at the end of this month. The mall is operated by Damansara Entertainment Centre Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Boustead Properties Berhad (BPB).
Boustead said after 14 eventful years, the success story continues with the planned redevelopment of eCurve. It added that the onset of the pandemic has presented an opportunity to put into motion the plan for eCurve to evolve, rejuvenate and return stronger with a brand-new captivating landmark in Mutiara Damansara, aligned with the Group wide’s aspiration of “Reinventing Boustead”.
The statement says “The move is a timely one that will see eCurve adapting to how societies, lifestyles and technologies around us are changing. Through the urban rejuvenation, we envision an enhanced generational livability surrounding Mutiara Damansara, with a thriving communities and ecosystem stemming from the unleashed offerings under the redevelopment.”
BPB stresses that the redevelopment doesn’t involve the Curve, which is its main shopping centre at Mutiara Damansara. The Curve will continue to operate as usual and BPB is engaging current tenants and they are relocating selected tenants to the Curve to “bring the same joy and experience” that are synonymous to the brand. There were no timelines mentioned for the redevelopment of the mall.
eCurve was formerly known as Cineleisure Damansara and it was a joint-venture with Singapore’s Cathay Organisation Holdings Ltd. Boustead took full ownership in 2009 and it was renamed to e @ Curve.
