According to 9to5Mac, analysts from Wedbush report that the next-generation iPhone—or what might be called the iPhone 13—will finally feature a 1TB storage option. This claim lines up with other sources suggesting the same thing, “based on prototypes“.
The 1TB option only coming out on Apple’s next-gen iPhone line-up means that the company is lagging behind competitor Samsung. The company offered 1TB phones with the Galaxy S10 series almost two years ago.
Currently, Apple has only offered 1TB of storage on its most expensive iPad Pros. A 1TB iPad Pro starts from RM5,749, while 128GB model starts from RM3,499.
The largest storage for iPhone so far is currently 512GB for the iPhone 12 Pro. The price starts at RM6,299 for the iPhone 12 Pro, and RM6,699 for the iPhone 12 Pro Max.
“We’re in early stages of iPhone 13 right now, and we kind of just have prototypes to go off of—which means that not much is actually final. But…most of these prototypes do feature 1TB of storage…that is, the prototypes for the pro-models anyway,” said tech analyst and host of Front Page Tech Jon Prosser.
Apple’s iPhone 13 is expected to launch this fall, but we have yet to get more information on the upcoming device’s specs. However, rumours suggest that it will sport a 120Hz refresh rate, feature a periscope camera, and have both Face and Touch ID,
