Malaysia has recorded 2,437 new COVID-19 cases today which brings the total number of infections to 300,752. There are 9 new deaths reported and the death toll is now 1,130.
The Ministry of Health has reported 3,251 new recoveries and a total of 273,417 patients have recovered and discharged so far. The recovery rate is now 90.91% while the mortality rate is at 0.38%.
There are currently 26,205 active cases remaining which are receiving treatment. 202 are in ICU while 93 require respiratory support.
Out of the 2,437 new cases today, 2 are imported while 2,435 are transmitted locally. Selangor recorded the most with 914 cases, followed by Johor with 340 cases, Kuala Lumpur with 337 cases and Perak with 287 cases.
