Need a new phone with a huge battery? The Samsung Galaxy M62 is coming to Malaysia next week and it features a huge 7,000mAh battery. From the looks of it, the M62 appears to be a rebadge of the Galaxy F62 that’s released in India.

Samsung Malaysia hasn’t revealed the hardware specs yet but it is safe to assume that it shouldn’t be too far off from the Galaxy M62. According to the F62 product page, the device features a 6.7″ Full HD+ Super AMOLED Plus display and it runs on an Exynos 9825 processor, which is the same unit that powers the Galaxy Note 10.

In India, the device is offered with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM and it has 128GB of internal storage which is expandable via microSD card. Available in three colours, the device has a nice gradient colour effect which is also visible on the sides.

In the camera department, the rear gets a quad-camera setup that consists of a 64MP main camera, 12MP ultra-wide, 5MP macro and a 5MP depth shooter. For selfies, the display has a tiny punch-hole at the top that houses the 32MP front camera. It also supports face unlock and has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

The phone gets a huge 7,000mAh battery that’s rated to provide up to 33 hours of video playback or 24 hours of internet usage. It supports 25W fast-charging via USB-C and the charger is still included in the box for F62 in India. Also included is 3.5mm headphone jack.

In India, the F62 with 6GB RAM + 128GB storage is priced at INR 23,999 (about RM1,350), so we expect the Galaxy M62 for Malaysia to be priced around RM1,300-RM1,500, depending on its RAM and storage configuration.

The Samsung Galaxy M62 is expected to be available for purchase on Wednesday, 3rd March 2021. From the looks of it, it will be sold exclusively through Lazada Malaysia and there could be a first-day sale promo like other Galaxy M series.
