If you’re looking for an affordable fitness band to track your running activities, Huawei has officially announced the arrival of its Band 4e in Malaysia. Not only you can wear it around your wrist, the Huawei Band 4e can also be attached to your running shoe which Huawei claims it can capture more accurate performance statistics.

Pricing and availability

Huawei Band 4e Malaysia Price RM69

The Huawei Band 4e is officially priced at RM119 and it comes in two colours – Graphite Black and Mineral Red. On 19th February 2021, you can get it for only RM69 with its RM50 off promo which starts at 10:08am on 19th February 2021. This deal is available on the official Huawei Store and Lazada.

Hardware Spec

The Huawei Band 4e looks quite similar to the Honor Band 5 Sport that was released in 2019. It features a 0.5″ PMOLED display which supports slide and touch gestures, and there’s also a single capacitive home button. There’s no built-in heart-rate sensor but it does feature a 6-axis motion sensor and 5ATM-rated water resistance.

According to the spec-sheet, the fitness band supports 9 running form metrics which include foot strike pattern, landing impact, ground contact time and cadence. The app also provides running form analysis and suggestions which is made possible with Huawei’s collaboration with China Institute of Sport Science.

Apart from running, it can also monitor your basketball performance by providing vertical jump data such as number, height and hang time, as well as sprinting and lower-body strength data. For cyclists, the band uses an advanced motion sensor to accurately record your cadence which helps you identify possible improvements.

In addition, you can pair two different Huawei wearables in the Huawei Health app. This allows you to get comprehensive cycling data which include cycling routes, speed, calorie, heart rate, recovery time and VO2max depending on the smartwatch or fitness band you use.

Huawei Band 4e Malaysia feature

On a single charge, the Huawei Band 4e is rated to provide up to 2 weeks of battery life. It charges via a USB to pogo-pin cradle which is included in the box. The Band 4e connects via Bluetooth 4.2 and it is listed to be compatible with both Android (4.4 or later) and iOS (9.0 or later) devices.
