Malaysia has recorded 3,391 new COVID-19 cases today which brings the total number of infections to 234,874. There are 19 new deaths reported and the death toll is now 845.
The Ministry of Health has reported 3,392 new recoveries and a total of 185,278 patients have recovered and discharged so far. The recovery rate is now 78.9% while the mortality rate is 0.4%.
There are currently 48,751 active cases remaining which are receiving treatment. 310 are in ICU while 134 require respiratory support.
Out of the 3,391 new cases today, 4 are imported while 3,387 are transmitted locally. Selangor recorded the most with 1,228 new cases, followed by Johor with 598 cases, Kuala Lumpur with 395 cases and Sabah with 196 cases.
The Ministry has identified 15 new clusters today and 12 are workplace related. Below is the full list of new clusters:
A total of 88 active clusters have recorded new COVID-19 cases today. The Jalan Rumbia Dua cluster recorded the most with 133 cases, followed by Sri Sengkang cluster with 112 cases and Serkam Industry Cluster with 96 cases.
