Fingo Malaysia, a relatively new eCommerce platform has announced that it’s shutting down effective today. They have a sent a notice to all shoppers yesterday and no new orders will be accepted effective today.
According to the eCommerce platform, their business was badly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and they couldn’t find a solution to overcome its challenges. Despite the closure, it promises to fulfill all paid orders. For unfulfilled orders, Fingo says it will issue a refund instead.
The Fingo App will be closed by the end of this month and they urge its users to contact customer service if they have any outstanding issues with the platform.
Last month, the platform had issued a statement to deny rumours that Fingo was about to cease its operations. It threatened to take legal action against those who maliciously slander the company.
Described as a social eCommerce platform, Fingo Malaysia was launched in July 2019. Unlike other platforms that uses its own apps, Fingo says it leverages on WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram to connect to its customers. The platform focuses mainly on cosmetics, household items and personal care products. To drive acquisition, Fingo had also offered a membership and referral program where members could potentially earn thousands of ringgit per month.
