Are electric scooters completely banned on Malaysian roads?

E-scooters are now pretty convenient for those who want to get around the city. But recently,  the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) said they will start imposing fines on riders that use eScooters on public roads starting 1 January 2021. Find out more about it here.
