Despite the current pandemic situation, Taco Bell is opening in Malaysia very soon. Following its initial teaser, the Mexican-inspired restaurant chain has confirmed that its first outlet will be located at Cyberjaya, which is about 35km south of Kuala Lumpur.

According to their website, the exact opening date and address is still under wraps but they are currently looking for passionate individuals to join their team at Cyberjaya. Those who are interested to apply may submit their details through a web form.

It is mentioned that the new restaurant will open in a few months and it appears that they are hiring both full time and part time staff.

As reported earlier, Disruptive Concepts Restaurant Group is the franchise holder for both Malaysia and Singapore. Apart from Cyberjaya, they are also opening an outlet at Tropicana Gardens Mall in Kota Damansara.

Taco Bell is a brand under Yum! Brands which also owns KFC and Pizzahut. In Malaysia, both KFC and Pizzahut are managed by QSR Brands which also has the right to operate KFC restaurants in Singapore, Cambodia and Brunei. It’s also worth pointing out that Taco Bell used to operate in Singapore but they exited the market in 2009.

US burger chain Five Guys is also opening in Malaysia very soon. As spotted by MyBurgerLab, the first outlet appears to be opening at Genting Highlands and it is said to be the 3rd outlet in Southeast Asia. Unfortunately, there’s also no mention of its opening dates.
