Deal: AirAsia offers RM12 domestic fare promo as interstate travel is now permitted

In conjunction with Malaysia’s lifting of interstate travel restrictions from 7th December, AirAsia is now kicking off a 3-day sale for all domestic flights from 7th to 9th December 2020. AirAsia members can enjoy all-in fares from as low as RM12 one-way for the travel period between 14th December 2020 to 30th June 2021. For non-members, the all-in fares start from RM18 one-way.

For greater flexibility, all bookings made until 31st December 2020 for the travel period from now until 31st March 2021 are entitled to unlimited date changes with no flight change fee. Although there’s no extra penalty, you’ll have to pay the difference in fares if applicable and it is still subject to seat availability.

Take note that selected state governments may impose their own restrictions and procedures for incoming tourists. According to the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee website, non-Sarawakians from Sabah and Labuan are prohibited to enter the state until further notice. For other visitors including Sarawakians from West Malaysia, a mandatory 14-day quarantine at designated centres is still required upon arrival.

To boost domestic tourism, AirAsia has recently introduced 8 new domestic routes. This include Langkawi – Ipoh, Langkawi – Kota Bharu,  Johor Bahru – Bintulu, Johor Bahru – Kota Bharu, Penang – Sibu, Penang – Kota Bharu and Kuching – Langkawi. The new flights will operate 3 times a week and some sectors will start from 19th December as shown below.

To ensure a safe flying environment, AirAsia has taken enhanced safety measures throughout the journey which include mandatory face masks, contactless check-in and cabin sterilisation with disinfectant before each flight. All aircraft are also equipped with HEPA air filters to filter out particles and airborne contaminants such as viruses and bacteria.
