The extension was announced during a live National Security Council briefing conducted this evening. According to the Minister, there are still high risk areas in the Klang Valley. During the CMCO, interdistrict travel is not allowed unless it is for official duties. Employees that are permitted to work on-site must produce an authorisation letter from their employers if they need to travel interdistrict.

There’s also a 2 people per vehicle rule for households that need to travel out to buy essentials. However, those running a family businesses can obtain police permission in order to carry more passengers.

Apart from the Klang Valley, the government has also announced CMCO for Nilai in Negeri Sembilan which will take effect from 28th October until 10th November 2020.

Meanwhile, the TEMCO for Taman Khazanah Indah, Mutiara Kasih apartments, Felda Umas in Lahad Datu Sabah has been extended until 9th November 2020. The government has also announced TEMCO for Taman Mawar in Sandakan, Sabah and Putra Point, Nilai, Negeri Sembilan from 28th October until 10th November 2020.
