Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob has announced that employees at CMCO areas from both private and public sector in administration and management positions are ordered to Work from Home (WFH) starting 22nd October 2020. The move is aimed at restricting movement in order reduce the spread of COVID-19 infection.
According to the National Security Council, this will be implemented in Selangor, KL, Putrajaya and Sabah. For those that are required to work onsite must undergo a COVID-19 swab test. The cost for the swab test will be paid for by PERKESO for contributing employees.
Ismail Sabri added that the WFH arrangement will limit an estimated 1 million workers which consists of 800,000 in industrial sectors and 200,000 in public sectors from going out to work. The detailed SOP will be issued by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) soon.
