Oppo A93 Malaysia: Everything you need to know

The Oppo A93 has arrived in Malaysia. It’s Oppo’s new mid-range smartphone that offers a quad-camera setup for the rear and dual-selfie-cameras for the front. The device features an AMOLED display and you can pre-order now to get RM199 worth of freebies.

Pricing and availability

The Oppo A93 is officially priced at RM1,299 in Malaysia. That’s RM100 more than the Oppo A92 that was released in May. The device can be pre-ordered starting today and Oppo is bundling an exclusive umbrella and bluetooth speaker worth RM199 in total.

The first sale will take place on the 10th October across multiple channels and it will also be available on contract on Celcom, Digi, Maxis and U Mobile. If you want to get it online, you can purchase it now on Oppo’s online store as well as Lazada and Shopee.

Hardware specs

The Oppo A93 features a 6.43″ Super AMOLED display that pushes a Full HD+ resolution. The screen still does a typical 60Hz refresh rate and has a max brightness 800nits.

Under the hood, it runs on a MediaTek Helio P95 processor with 8GB RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage which is expandable via microSD card. For taking pictures, the rear gets a 48MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and two 2MP cameras for depth sensing. The front features a dual-selfie-camera setup that comprises of a 16MP main selfie camera and a 2MP depth sensor for bokeh effects.

Powering the device is a 4,000mAh battery and it supports 18W charging via USB-C. Also retained is a 3.5mm headphone jack. Out of the box, it runs on ColorOS 7.2 that’s based on Android 10.
