Tune Talk offers unlimited data and calls for RM48 but beware of the FUP

Tune Talk is the latest player to join the prepaid race and they are now offering an unlimited plan for RM48/month. On top of that, you also get unlimited calls and extra data for your hotspot needs.

The new unlimited offering is parked under its Cun value data plans which auto renews monthly. For RM48/month, you’ll get unlimited data that has a speed cap of 6Mbps, unlimited calls to all networks within Malaysia and 5GB of hotspot quota. You can subscribe via the Tune Talk app or SMS “TUNEUNL” to 2222.

However, take note that there’s a Fair Usage Policy of 100GB that refreshes every 30 days. Once you’ve hit the FUP, the plan will utilise the 10GB free basic internet data that offers a throttled speed of 64kbps. Overall, it isn’t really unlimited as the max you can get is 110GB per month. At least, it’s double of what Hotlink is offering which is limited to 50GB for its monthly unlimited pass.

If you value high-speed rather than unlimited, Tune Talk also has its existing RM48/month plan. It offers unlimited calls plus unlimited data for chat (WhatsApp, WeChat, IMO, Viber, Line), social (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, FB Messenger) and music (Spotify, Joox, Syok, KKBox, Hungama and Astro Radio) apps. The plan also includes 10GB of high-speed data and 60GB of data (2GB per day) for videos. Take note that the unlimited chat, social and music packs come with an FUP of 100GB.
