Asus VivoBook 14 with 10th gen Core i5 and 512GB SSD, now available for RM2,899

Asus has launched its new VivoBook 14 (A413) laptop in Malaysia. The compact and lightweight laptop is said to incorporate design elements found in Asus’ higher-spec VivoBook S series.

The laptop weighs 1.4kg and measures 19.9mm thin. The latest addition to the VivoBook line is offered in three expressive colours for users to choose from. This includes: Dreamy White, Cobalt Blue or Bespoke Black.

The VivoBook 14 is equipped with a 14″ FHD TN panel that has a three-sided NanoEdge display. Asus claims the slim bezels offers an 84% screen-to-body ratio for a more immersive viewing experience.

On the inside, the laptop is distinguished by its ‘Enter’ key with its lettering and borders highlighted in bright yellow. For getting work done in dimly lit environments, the laptop has a backlit chiclet keyboard.

Performance wise, the laptop comes powered by a 10th Gen Intel Core i5 10210U processor coupled with 4GB of DDR4 RAM and 512GB M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 SSD. For graphics, the VivoBook is equipped with Nvidia GeForce MX330 discrete graphics as well as Intel HD graphics 520 integrated graphics.

Besides that, the VivoBook 14 is equipped with the latest Intel WiFi 6 connectivity standards that is said to deliver networking speeds that are up to 3X faster than WiFi 5 and offers 75% lower latency. Asus has included a 42Wh (3-cell) battery with the latest VivoBook though it did not provide any information on how long battery is able to last.

In terms of connectivity options, the VivoBook 14 features one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C along with two USB 2.0 ports. There is also an HDMI 1.4 port in the event you need to hook your laptop up to a monitor or large display for a presentation. You also get a microSD card reader and a 3.5mm audio jack combo.

In case you were wondering, the laptop runs on Windows 10 Home. Asus has also included Microsoft Office Home & Student 2019 with it.

The Asus VivoBook 14 is available now online via Shopee and Lazada for RM2,899. Those who purchase the laptop online between 21 – 27 September are entitled to get a Grab Food voucher worth RM100 while stocks last.
