COVID-19: New cases jump to 95 today, all 91 local cases reported in Sabah

Malaysia has recorded 95 new COVID-19 cases today which brings the total number of infections to 10,147. There’s one new death reported in Sabah today and the death toll is now 129.

The Ministry of Health has reported 14 new recoveries and a total of 9,264 patients have recovered and discharged so far. The recovery rate is now 91.30% while the mortality rate is at 1.27%.

There are currently 754 active cases remaining which are currently receiving treatment. 11 patients are in ICU while 2 require respiratory support.

Out of the 95 new COVID-19 cases reported today, 4 are imported while 91 are transmitted locally. The imported cases are all foreigners with 3 arriving from Indonesia and 1 from China.

All 91 new local cases are reported in Sabah with 76 from the Benteng cluster, 4 from the Pulau cluster and 3 from the recently identified Selamat cluster.
