The Honor 8S smartphone is getting new variant in Malaysia that comes with 3GB RAM and 64GB of storage. This is Honor Malaysia’s budget offering that appears to still come with Google Mobile Services.

The 8S with 3GB RAM + 64GB is officially priced at RM429 and it’s available in either Aurora Blue or navy Blue. As a comparison, the 2GB RAM + 32GB storage variant is priced at RM369, and it comes with a free 32GB microSD card bundle.

If you’re interested, the Honor 8S will be available from 22nd August via HiHonor.com, Lazada and Shopee.

The Honor 8S features a 5.71″ LCD display that pushes a HD 720p resolution. It runs on a MediaTek MT6761 processor and you can still expand storage further via a dedicated microSD card slot.

For taking pictures, the device gets a single 13MP main camera and a front facing 5MP selfie shooter. Powering the device is a rather small 3,020mAh battery that charges via microUSB. According to the Honor Malaysia’s product page, it runs on Android 9.0 with EMUI 9.0 skin on top.

If you’re looking for something newer, there’s the Honor 9A that’s going for RM549. The device gets a larger 6.3″ screen, a bigger 5,000mAh battery and it also gets a similar 3GB RAM + 64GB configuration. However, the Honor 9A runs on Huawei Mobile Services which means you don’t get Google apps and services pre-installed.
