Celcom has introduced its Internet Go postpaid plan that offers 15GB of high-speed data and unlimited access to supported video conferencing platforms. If you need a device, Celcom is also bundling an 8″ tablet for RM360.
The Internet Go postpaid plan costs RM45/month and it is a data-only plan. You can’t make voice calls but it allows you to send SMS at 20 sen each. The plan offers free unlimited internet for Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet and Webex Meetings. For everything else, the plan comes with 15GB of high-speed data quota each month.
Once you’ve finished your quota, speeds will be throttled to 64kbps but you can top up more by purchasing add-ons. An extra 5GB would costs RM20 and you can get 25GB data extra for RM80. Celcom is also offering Video Walla, Music Walla and Games Walla add-ons that are offered in daily, weekly and monthly options.
If you need a device for video conferencing, Celcom is offering the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8.0 for RM360 on a 12-month contract. Interestingly, unlike typical device bundles, there’s no additional upfront payment on the online store. The device is only offered in Black and it comes with 32GB of storage.
The Galaxy Tab A8.0 2019 was introduced last year as an sub-RM600 LTE tablet. It comes with an 8.0″ TFT 720p HD resolution (1,280×800 pixels) display and bottom-firing dual-speakers. It runs on an unspecified Qualcomm processor (likely Snapdragon 429) with 2GB of RAM and you can expand the storage further via microSD. Powering the device is a 5,100mAh battery that charges via microUSB.
