Pos Malaysia has announced that it’s introducing e-consignment notes starting this coming Monday, 17th August 2020. This makes it easier to send parcels or documents via Pos Laju as you won’t need to fill up manual consignment notes for each item.

Pos Malaysia e-consignment

To get started, just download the Pos Mobile app which is available on both Apple App Store and Google Play Store. There’s no registration required and you can create an e-Consignment Note straight away. After entering the sender and receiver info, you can enter the weight of the package to get an estimated cost for shipping.

For extra convenience, you can save your details so that you won’t have to re-enter them for future deliveries. The app also allows you to save your favourite addresses which is useful if you’re going to make repeated deliveries to the same person.

After that’s done, just head to the nearest supported post office to print out your e-consignment note. The app will generate a QR code or alternatively, you can use the built-in scanner to scan the code on the printer at the post office.

According to Pos Malaysia, you can print up to 20 e-consignment notes one go. On the “My Parcel” page, just tap and hold on the list, check the items you want to print and then select “Scan & Print”.

With e-consignment, you can save time and reduce potential spelling errors when it comes to handwritten addresses. The same app also allows you to track and trace your package and you can get notified when the items are delivered.

Take note that e-consignment feature is only available at selected Pos Malaysia branches. Before you create a new consignment note, a pop-up will appear which allows you to find your nearest branch that supports the feature.

At the moment, the feature is only supported for Pos Laju Domestic products including Same Day Delivery (SDD) and Time Certain Services (TCS). Other mail and parcel products for domestic and international will be introduced at a later stage. If you need to buy insurance for the parcel, you may do so over the counter when you make payment.

For more info, you can visit Pos Malaysia’s e-consignment page.
