Apple fixes iPhone green tint screen issue with iOS 13.6.1

After pushing out iOS 13.6 last month, Apple has just released a minor iOS 13.6.1 update which fixes some known issues that affects some iPhone models. The update also addresses a problem associated with its Exposure Notification feature that’s used for COVID-19 contact tracing.

According to the change log, iOS 13.6.1 fixes an issue where unneeded system data files might not be automatically deleted when available storage is low. It also fixes an issue where Exposure Notification could be disabled for some users.

The more critical fix is the random green tint issue that appears to affect some users on iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max. This was reported in early June and according to Apple, it is caused by a thermal management issue.

Apart from iOS 13.6.1, Apple is also pushing iPadOS 13.6.1 for iPad users. If you haven’t receive any notification, you can download the update manually by going into Settings > Software Update. You must have at least 50% of battery to update your iOS device.
