Features and specs
The latest ZenBook Classic series offers two screen sizes. The ZenBook 13 (1.07kg) boasts a 13.3” LED-backlit Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixel resolution) display. Those who prefer a larger screen can opt for the sleek ZenBook 14 (1.13kg) with its 14” LED-backlit Full HD display.
Both models come with a compact and elegant all-metal chassis that’s a mere 13.9 mm thin. Despite their slim and lightweight build, Asus assures users that the notebooks are durable. They boast US Military Grade MIL-STD 810G certification after passing 29 tests that include shock tests, vibration tests and more.
Both models can be configured up to a 10th generation Intel Core i7 1065G7 processor mated to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM. Storage-wise, the laptops come with 512GB PCIe 3.0 Solid State Drive (SSD) and come with Intel Iris Plus Graphics.
You can check out the table below for the full specs of both models.
There is a new edge-to-edge ergonomic keyboard design that increases the size of the keyboard and even creates space for an extra set of useful function keys at the right-hand side of the keyboard. For maximum typing comfort, the precision-engineered ErgoLift hinge automatically tilts the keyboard to the optimum typing angle when the lid is opened. This also creates space under the laptop for extra cooling airflow.
Also on the new ZenBooks is Asus’ latest NumberPad 2.0, a dual-function touchpad with an integrated LED-illuminated full-size numeric keypad. By simply tapping the icon on the touchpad turns NumberPad on and off.
The Asus claims the new ZenBook models are power efficient, offering up to 22 hours of battery life. That means you don’t have to worry if you forget to bring the charger if you start your day with a full charge.
Despite their ultrathin design, Asus’new ZenBooks boasts a full array of Input/Output (I/O) ports including a full-size HDMI port, USB Type-A ports as well as Thunderbolt 3 USB-C and a microSD card reader. Oddly, there is no 3.5mm headphone jack on the laptop even though there seems to be plenty of space on its sides.
The two Thunderbolt 3 USB-C ports support fast charging, up to two 4K UHD external displays for an expanded visual workspace, and up to 40 Gbps data speeds for fast file transfers.
The laptops also support the new Asus USB-C Easy Charge feature that allows them to be conveniently charged from any USB-C Power Delivery-certified charger, such as the bundled 65-watt charger, or charge at slower rates when wall sockets are unavailable.
Also, there is an integrated infrared (IR) camera located on the top bezel makes password-free face login fast and easy with Windows Hello. It also works in dim lighting conditions, so accessing ZenBook 13 and 14 is easier and faster than ever in any environment. It will come in two new colour options: Pine Grey and Lilac Mist.
