Digi is offering the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra on pre-order with its PhoneFreedom 365 instalment program. The 5G variants offered by Digi are tied to its Postpaid 120 plan and above, and they are offering double the quota up to 200GB/month.
The Galaxy Note 20 5G which retails for RM4,299 can be yours for as low as RM108/month on the highest Digi Postpaid 190 plan that has 200GB of data. All-in, the device with the monthly postpaid fee would cost you RM298/month excluding 6% tax.
For the lowest monthly commitment option, the device on Postpaid 120 with 120GB data would cost you RM248/month all-in (RM128 for device + RM120 for plan) excluding 6% tax.
For the ultimate Note 20 that comes with a 6.9″ QuadHD+ display, the device can be yours from RM288/month all-in (RM168 for device + RM120 for plan). If you need more data, the highest option would cost you RM338/month (RM148 for device + RM190 for the plan). Do note that there’s a 6% tax applicable on the postpaid plan.
Customers that sign up for the Postpaid 160 or 190 plan will get to enjoy free Digi Shield coverage which provides device protection against accidental and liquid damage for 2 years. In addition, customers can choose to upgrade without penalty from the 20th month onwards. The above plans are tied to a 24-month contract.
The benefit of PhoneFreedom 365 is that customers could get a new phone with RM0 upfront payment. However, this is only applicable to existing customers with good payment history. If you’re signing up for a new line, you would need to pay close to RM4,000 for the device advance payment for the Note 20. This is almost like paying the full retail price which doesn’t make sense.
If you pre-order with Digi, you’ll get the Galaxy Buds Live for the Note 20 Ultra or the Galaxy Buds+ for the Note 20 as a freebie. In addition, you also get the additional freebies which include the UV steriliser and wireless charger.
Like other telcos, the pre-order is running until 20th August 2020 and deliveries will start from 21st August 2020. Alternatively, customers may opt to collect their Note 20 from their selected Digi Stores. The Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra will be available at Digi stores nationwide from 21st August.
