Deal: Poco F2 Pro now going for RM1,799 on 8.8

This is probably the best deal if you’re looking for a flagship smartphone for less than RM2,000. The Poco F2 Pro is now offered with a huge RM400 discount in conjunction with the 8.8 sale. That’s RM200 cheaper than the previous RM1,999 flash sale offer.

Originally priced at RM2,199, the Poco F2 Pro 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model is now going for only RM1,799 while stocks last. Meanwhile, the higher-spec 8GB RAM + 256GB variant has recently gotten a price cut from RM2,599 to RM2,299.

If you’re looking for a budget phone, Xiaomi is also offering the Redmi Note 9 Pro 6GB RAM + 64GB for RM899 (RRP: RM999) while the Redmi 9 3GB RAM + 32GB storage is going for RM449 (RRP: RM499). There are also discounts for other accessories including the Mi Air Purifier 3H, Mi True Wireless Earphones and Mi powerbanks.

You can check out the full list of 8.8 promos on the official Xiaomi store on Lazada.

Hardware Specs

The Poco F2 Pro is currently the most affordable Snapdragon 865 powered smartphone in Malaysia. It features a 6.67″ Full HD+ AMOLED screen that comes with no notches or punch-holes. This is made possible with its 20MP pop-up selfie camera which is similar to the Mi 9T. The screen pushes a standard 60Hz refresh rate and has a 180Hz touch sampling rate.

Under the hood, it uses a high-performance LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, however, do note that the lower spec 6GB RAM variant runs on a slower LPDDR4X RAM. Apart from supporting 5G, the F2 Pro also supports 802.11ax WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.1 and dual-frequency GPS.

In the camera department, the rear gets a quad-camera setup consisting of a 64MP main camera, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 5 MP macro shooter and a 2MP depth sensor. The device can support 8K video recording as well as 960fps slow-mo up to 1080p.

Powering the device is a large 4,700mAh battery that supports 30W fast charge via USB-C. It comes with a 33W USB-PD charger and the device supports both USB-PD 3.0 and QuickCharge 4+ charging protocols. Unlike most flagship these days, the F2 Pro still comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack and an IR blaster.
