The OnePlus Buds looks like an AirPods clone with Google Pixel Buds case

The OnePlus Nord will be unveiled tomorrow along with a brand new OnePlus Buds. Serial leakster @evleaks has just dropped a couple of images which reveals the new TWS with similar colour options as the Nord smartphone.

From the looks of it, the OnePlus Buds will come with an AirPod-like stem design and it gets a rounded charging case. At first glance, it does look quite similar to the Google Pixel Buds as shown below.

Google Pixel Buds

The OnePlus Buds were first spotted during Carl Pei’s interview with MKBHD last week and he was wearing a bright blue colour version. The end of the stems come with chrome finish while the sides get a protruding groove which could make it easier for touch controls.

As shared by @evowizz via 9to5Google, the OnePlus Buds will come in 3 colours – Black, Blue and White. On the back of the case, there’s a button which appears to be used for pairing a new device which is somewhat similar to the Oppo Enco Free, Realme Buds Air and Vivo TWS Neo. This shouldn’t come as a surprise since all four companies are under the same BBK Electronics group. The new TWS won’t come with wireless charging and it is speculated to come with Dolby Atmos support.

In terms of specs, the Buds can push up to 30 hours of audio playback on a single charge and it will also support Warp Charge for instant charging. Apparently, a quick 10 minute charge could provide enough battery life for 10 hours.

The OnePlus Nord event is taking place at 10pm Malaysian time on the 21st of July 2020. OnePlus Malaysia has introduced a new online store on Shopee and there’s also a local retailer that’s offering pre-order with a RM200 booking.
