Malaysians can probably breathe a sigh of relief as there is no change in fuel prices for the coming week. This is applicable to both RON95 and RON97 petrol as well as Diesel.

Malaysia Petrol Prices

Below are the fuel prices for the period between 18th to 24th July 2020:

RON95 – RM1.72/litre (+0 sen)
RON97 – RM2.02/litre (+0 sen)
Diesel – RM1.87/litre (+0 sen)
Diesel (Euro 5) – RM1.97/litre (+0 sen)

Last week recorded the highest price hike during the movement control order with 7 sen per litre increase for petrol and 3 sen per litre increase for diesel. The current fuel prices are still lower compared to the pre-MCO period.

To recap, Malaysia had experienced 5 weeks of low petrol prices at RM1.25/litre for RON95 and RM1.55/litre for RON97 since 11th April 2020. Before the MCO, RON95 was priced as high as RM2.08/litre and RON97 at RM2.40/litre on the week of 29th February.
