After Celcom introduced its Xpax Truly Unlimited Prepaid, the blue telco has revised its XL Lite postpaid plan with free unlimited YouTube. This is offered for free for both M and L pass at no extra charge.

Celcom XP Lite Plan

The XP Lite postpaid plan starts at RM28/month and you get unlimited calls to all networks and 1GB of high-speed data. To upsize your plan with more data, Celcom offers two options – M pass at RM10/month and L Pass at RM30/month.

With the M Pass (RM38/month), you’ll get an additional 7GB of data and unlimited YouTube streaming in SD. Meanwhile, the L Pass (RM58/month) gives you 15GB of extra data and unlimited YouTube streaming in HD. If you stay on with them for more than 6 months, you’ll get free 1-hour ultra hour pass every day from the 7th month onwards.

According to the FAQ, the unlimited YouTube streaming for the M pass can provide standard definition resolution at 480p. Meanwhile, the L pass lets you enjoy unlimited YouTube streaming at 720p. Based on YouTube‘s requirements, you’ll need at least a sustained speed of 1.1Mbps to get 480p streaming and 2.5Mbps for HD 720p resolution. It is also mentioned that tethering is not allowed for the free YouTube quota streaming.

For more info, you can check out Celcom’s XP Lite page.
