SoCar’s door to door delivery service, SoCar-2-You is now available in more areas in Penang and Johor Bahru. This would provide greater convenience as members won’t need to worry about the closest SoCar zone when selecting their preferred vehicle.

SoCar-2-You is available at selected locations in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Johor Bahru and the service now covers Butterworth, Bukit Mertajam, Johor Jaya and Nusajaya. Previously, the service was limited to Bayan Lepas in Penang and Johor Bahru City Centre in Johor.

According to SoCar CEO Leon Foong, “this expansion makes it easier for SOCAR members in Penang and Johor to live out their own cuti-cuti Malaysia dreams. They no longer need to worry about their closest SOCAR of choice getting booked up and having to make that extra journey to pick up their car- just a few taps on their phone serves up a ride at their doorstep. Throughout the MCO period, we’ve had the opportunity to understand our users a little better, and we’ve seen increased demand for contactless delivery of SOCAR to people’s houses.”

To place a booking, you must ensure that the drop-off location is located. On the SoCar app, you will see a “SOCAR-2-YOU” pin in blue which indicates that it is available. At the moment, the door to door service is still free.

At the moment, there are several promotions running on their platform which include the After Work Commute promo which is currently running until 31st July 2020. With this promo, you can book a car starting from 5pm to 9pm on Mondays to Thursday, and then return it the next morning before 9am from as low as RM40. You must book with a minimum of 12 hours and it is applicable to all cars except for the BMW and Mini Cooper.

If you want to make a day trip, there’s also the DayPass offer where you can enjoy 30% off (up to RM100) for bookings of at least 12 hours. A full-day booking comes with 240km of free mileage included. This DayPass offer is available until 30th September 2020.

SoCar is available for download on Apple AppStore, Google PlayStore and Huawei AppGallery.
