CONFIRMED: Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Unpacked event happening on 5 August

If you’re looking for a brand new Galaxy Note, Samsung has just announced its next Galaxy Unpacked event where they will unveil its new Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.

The Galaxy Unpacked event is happening on the 5th of August at 10am ET which is at 10pm Malaysian Time. It looks like Samsung will be unveiling a range of Galaxy products according to the event description:

The desire to make meaningful connections and to stay productive are constants in a world of change. Our mobile devices need to be ready to help us stay in touch with what matters most and give us new ways to work and play.

On August 5, join us for a Galaxy Unpacked virtual event to explore our latest ecosystem of Galaxy devices designed to empower your life.”

Since Malaysia is a key market, we expect Samsung Malaysia to start offering pre-orders for the Galaxy Note 20 series shortly after the global unveiling. The devices could go on sale by the end of August. To be among the first to know, you can also register your interest with Samsung Malaysia.

As seen from the teaser video, the new Mystic Bronze will be the new hero colour for the new Galaxy Note series. We’ve seen this colour from a recent leak on Samsung’s own websites which gave us a clear look at the upcoming flagship smartphone with an S Pen.

The Galaxy Note 20 will still retain its familiar flat slab design with rounded corners. The biggest change is its camera setup which comes with a triple-camera array that sits on a huge camera bump.

From a recent live photo of the device, it appears that the Note 20 Ultra will come with a periscope telephoto lens. The screen still stretches edge to edge with slightly curved corners while the punch-hole appears to be significantly smaller.

Apart from the Galaxy Note 20 series, Samsung is expected to unveil its Galaxy Z Flip 5G and possibly a new Galaxy Fold 2. In terms of wearables, Samsung could also announce its new Galaxy Watch 3 at the same event.
