You might have noticed that Waze went through a bit of a look re-vamp—if you actively use the application. But what you might not know is that there is a secret code you can type in to get a Monster-shaped Mood that wouldn’t be available to you normally.
It didn’t seem like any new features were added. However, the Google-owned company had changed their look late last month with things like a new icon and an increased focus on new colours.
Significant look changes also included a re-vamp in Moods, which are avatars users can pick to show off a current… ‘mood’. The new Moods look neater and rounder to fit the current Waze icon, as compared to the older Moods.
With the re-vamp, you could also get a secret Mood that isn’t available within the regular choices given—a Monster-shaped mood. Here’s how to get it:
- Make sure that you are running the latest Waze app version (iOS, Android)
- Launch the app and tap the search icon
- Instead of a destination, you’re going to type this code: ##@morph
- When you’re done, press the search button or the enter key on your keyboard
- You should see the Monster Mood already enabled for your profile
“There is such an expansive world there for us to dig into, with so many unique emotions and feelings that we can represent through the Moods (our first set of 30 is just the beginning). We want to represent all different types of people in all different moments on their journey, and make people smile…even when there might not be much to smile about,” said Waze.
This could mean that there may be more secret Moods that you can unlock with codes. But for now, you can unlock the hidden Monster one for yourself and maybe even try and test out different made up codes, just to see if they will give you a new one we don’t know about.
