After 7 weeks of continuous price increase, the price of petrol and diesel will be slightly lower for the coming week. Petrol will be cheaper by 4 sen per litre while diesel drops by 2 sen per litre.
Below are the fuel prices for the period between 4th to 10th July 2020:
RON95 – RM1.65/litre (-4 sen)
RON97 – RM1.95/litre (-4 sen)
Diesel – RM1.84/litre (-2 sen)
Diesel (Euro 5) – RM1.94/litre (-2 sen)
According to the Ministry of Finance, the price drop is affected by the changes in pricing for processed oil in line with the global prices of crude oil. The current pricing is still lower compared to the pre-MCO period.
