Huawei Malaysia has a WiFi 6 router that costs RM299, pre-order starts on 7.7

If you want to upgrade your home’s wireless connectivity, 802.11ax or better known as WiFi 6 is the latest WiFi standard that promises to faster transfer speeds and greater capacity. For those who don’t want to spend a fortune on a WiFi 6 router, the Huawei WiFi AX3 is a slim and affordable option that costs less than RM300.

The Huawei WiFI AX3 is officially priced at RM299 and it will be available in Malaysia on the 10th of July. To secure your unit early, you pre-order on the 7th of July on the official Huawei Online Store.

The AX3 is a WiFi 6 router and it can support up to 128 devices. If you have a compatible Huawei device, you can even enjoy faster WiFi 6 Plus connectivity. Using a wider 160MHz bandwidth and 1024-QAM, it is rated to provide a theoretical speed of up to 3000Mbps with 574Mbps on 2.4GHz and 2401Mbps on 5GHz bands.

Under the hood, it is powered by a quad-core Gigahome CPU with 256MB DDR3 RAM and 128MB Nand Flash memory. It also boasts 4 independent power amplifiers (2x for 2.4GHz + 2x 5GHz) for better WiFi coverage. According to Huawei, its WiFi 6 enabled smartphones are capable of sending 6dB stronger signals back to the AX3. It uses 2MHz narrow bandwidth using Dynamic Narrow Bandwidth technology which helps to penetrate solid objects such as floors and walls better.

For ease of connecting without passwords, Huawei Share compatible devices can connect to the network with a single tap via NFC. The back of the AX3 comes with 1x WAN port and 3x LAN ports which support speeds up to 1000Mbps. You can learn more on the official product page.
