Malaysia continues to record a single-digit number of daily cases with 4 new cases today. This brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 8,600. There are no new deaths reported and the death toll remains at 121.
The Ministry of Health has also recorded 40 new recoveries today and a total of 8,271 patients have recovered and discharged so far. The recovery rate is now 96.17% while the mortality rate is at 1.41%.
At the moment, there are 208 active cases remaining. 2 patients are in ICU and there are no cases that require respiratory support.
Out of the 4 new cases today, 3 are imported which consists of Malaysians returning from Singapore, the United Kingdom and Egypt. The sole local case is a Malaysian in Johor. The Ministry of Health has also declared the end of the Chow Kit cluster which recorded a total of 90 cases without any deaths. A total of 45 clusters have ended.
