Volkswagen Malaysia now has an online store on Shopee, book a car for RM199

Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) has just launched its new online store on Shopee. In conjunction with the upcoming 7.7 mid-year sale, you can get special deals for new cars starting from the 23rd of June to 7th July 2020.

As a special promo, customers can just pay RM199 to book a car and enjoy rewards ranging from RM4,279 to RM14,819 depending on the model. The VW Tiguan offers the highest reward at RM14,819 while the Golf R-Line has the least reward at RM4,279. There isn’t much info on the actual rewards but it is stated that you’ll get online showroom deals and monthly sales rebates.

[ UPDATE 25/06/2020 09:00 ]: We are told that the reward includes 6 months of free installment and it depends on the model on offer.

You can find a wide selection of vehicles including the Beetle, Vento, Golf R-Line, Golf GTI, Polo, Passat and Tiguan. In addition, Volkswagen Malaysia is also offering free home delivery nationwide within the first 20km from the preferred dealership. They are also offering free deep sanitisation package worth up to RM150.

Buyers will also get a free VW Merchandise in a form of a Volkswagen LEGO campervan worth RM499 while stocks last. According to the fine print, they are only 10 units available for the Volkswagen Lego Campervan and it is given on a first-come-first-serve basis for successor buyers that register their vehicles by 31st July 2020.

To get a new car, you must first purchase the Volkswagen voucher via Shopee and you’ll receive a link to a form via in-app push notification. After submitting the necessary details including your preferred dealership, a representative will contact you on the next steps required to complete the purchase.

If you purchase a Volkswagen voucher online via Shopee between 23rd June to 7th July, you’ll stand a chance to win RM700 Shopee vouchers which they are giving out to 7 lucky winners. The car must be registered by 31st July in order to be eligible and the RM700 voucher will be valid from August 2020 onwards.

It is worth noting that this isn’t the first time Volkswagen had attempted to sell its cars online. Back in 2017, the German brand that listed 12 limited edition Beetles via Lazada Malaysia during a 12.12 sale.
