Digi has introduced its new Prepaid Next which claims to be the only prepaid starter pack to come pre-loaded with 30-days of high-speed internet. On top of that, it also has a new Always Active feature which could be great for those who have accumulated lots of credit in their account.

The Digi Prepaid Next starter pack costs RM15 and it comes preloaded with 3GB data and unlimited social (Facebook, Instagram & Twitter). There’s no pre-loaded credit and it comes with 30 days validity out of the pack. However, do note that the preloaded perks are not applicable to those converting from other telcos or if you’re switching from another Digi plan.

Always Active offering

Unlike a typical prepaid plan, Digi Next allows users to extend their plan validity by simply purchasing a plan with an Always Active feature. With these plans, it will extend both line and internet validity.

From their provided example, if your account validity expires tomorrow but you subscribe to a Monthly Active Plan today, your account validity will be extended by 30 days instead of tomorrow. This means you won’t have to reload additional airtime to keep your line active, which makes it more convenient to stay connected.

The Digi Prepaid Next comes with 3 monthly (30-day) options that cost less than RM30. The most affordable option is essentially the Internet Cili Padi RM15 plan comes with 3GB high-speed data (inclusive of 1GB internet promo offer) and unlimited access to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. As a welcome bonus, you’ll also receive free 20 minutes for IDD calls to selected countries and this is valid for 5 days.

If you need more, you can get 6GB of high-speed data (inclusive of 2GB internet promo offer) along with unlimited access to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube for RM28/month. For those that need to make voice calls, you can opt for the BigBonus RM28 plan that comes with 4GB of high-speed data and unlimited calls to all networks. The plan also offers 1GB of data daily between 1pm to 7pm.

If you need even more data, Internet Cili Padi RM35 comes with 9GB of data (inclusive of 3GB internet promo) plus unlimited YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. For those that need unlimited calls, there’s BigBonus RM50 with 9GB of data + 1GB daily data (1pm to 7pm) and BigBonus RM70 with 14GB of data + 1GB daily data (1pm to 7pm).

To reward users that renew regularly, Digi is also offering loyalty data bonuses. The bonus data ranges from 500MB to 2GB depending on your tenure.

If you’re switching from Digi Prepaid Live, take note that the new Prepaid Next offering doesn’t come with free 2.5GB weekly streaming data that can be utilised for YouTube, Spotify, Viu and other platforms under Music and Video Freedom. Unfortunately, there’s still no sign of its unlimited data and call plans for prepaid.
