Canon is celebrating National Camera Day, happening on the 29th June, by hosting a month-long campaign featuring photography workshops and for the public to participate in a ‘Capturing Moments’ photo contest. The aim is for Canon to cultivate the love for camera and photography among aspiring photographers and enthusiasts.
“National Camera Day is observed to celebrate and commemorate the existence of cameras and the benefits it holds to mankind,” writes Canon in their press release.
Their photography workshops is hosted by Canon EOS Youth Ambassadors on the Canon Instagram page. The Ambassadors, Samuel Goh, Annice Lyn, and Acacia Diana, will take on a theme and offer their knowledge, tips, and tricks as well as share their ‘photography journey’.
The three Canon EOS Youth Ambassadors will also act as mentors and judges for the Capturing Moments contest, which will revolve around three photo themes—First Moments, Memorable Moments and Nature Moments. You can start submitting your entry now until 5th July 2020.
“The photography scene in Malaysia is thriving with many enthusiasts making it a serious hobby or a career choice. As a digital imaging solutions leader, we are committed to making photography a special experience for everyone, and through this Canon National Camera Day we look forward to seeing some exceptional work,” said Albert Mah, Head of Imaging Communications Product Division, Canon Marketing Malaysia.
