COVID-19: Malaysia records 33 new cases today, 3 Malaysians among local cases

The Ministry of Health has recorded 33 new cases today, which brings the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 8,402. Unfortunately, there’s one new death reported, and the death toll currently stands at 119.

Today also records 103 new recoveries, and a total of 7,168 patients have recovered and discharged so far. The recovery rate is currently 85.31% while the mortality rate is 1.42%.

At the moment, there are 1,115 active cases remaining that are currently isolated and are still receiving treatment. 4 are in ICU and there are no cases which require respiratory support.

According to the Ministry, today’s death is a 85 year old Malaysian woman that have passed away at home before she was brought to Hospital Keningau, Sabah.

Out of the 33 positive cases today, there are 16 imported cases and 17 local cases. From the 17 local transmissions, 14 are foreigners and 3 are Malaysians.
