All Yoodo users get free 3GB data as a token of apology for service interruption

Yoodo customers had experienced a major service disruption on Monday which affected not just data but also outgoing calls. The issue lasted nearly the whole day and had made plenty of Yoodo customers frustrated.

The digital telco brand under Celcom had admitted that they have let their customers down and have apologised for their failure. They have updated that all network services have fully restored and are running normally since 9th of June.

To compensate its users and to thank them for their patience, Yoodo will be giving all users 3GB data for free. This is similar to what they have offered for an outage that occurred last year.

According to the telco brand, the free 3GB data will be added to your plan at 12.01am on Friday, 12th June 2020. The extra data will be valid until your next plan renewal.

Yoodo admits that this is just the first steps to regain back the trust that had eroded over the past few days. For customers that are still having issues, are urged to contact their customer support team or visit their FAQ section here.

It is also worth pointing out that they are still offering free 1GB data every day which you’ll have to redeem on a daily basis. Unlike the big 4 telco brands that currently exclude social media, gaming, video and music streaming apps under the new free 1GB data offer, you can still enjoy Yoodo’s free 1GB data for any apps or services. Yoodo’s free daily data offer is currently running until further notice.

[ UPDATE 14/06/2020 18:00 ]: Yoodo’s free 1GB data now excludes social media, gaming, music and video streaming but it is still valid for 24 hours. They have updated its terms here.
