As a sign of gratitude to all healthcare workers battling COVID-19 around the world, Turkish Airlines is offering 40% discount on all flights for its Economy and Business Class seats. The offer is given to registered health care workers and their accompanying loved ones.
For those eligible may book their flights from 8th June until 1st August 2020 and it is open for the travel period between 8th June 2020 to 31st May 2021. To benefit from this campaign, you need to be a Turkish Airlines’ Miles&Smiles frequent flyer programme member. If you’re not one, you can register an account online.
The promotion is only valid for health workers that are registered with the Ministry of Health or health institutions that are accredited by the Ministry of Health. The T&C states that Family physicians and paramedics may also participate and they must present a personnel identity card including the name and/or emblem of the organisation.
Once you have a Miles&Smiles membership, you can register for the 40% discount campaign. Select “New Feedback” and choose “Discount for healthcare professionals” on the bottom of the page.
After submitting the necessary details including a copy of your healthcare professional ID, you will receive a promo code via email within 3 days. You can proceed to book your flights online and the discount will be applied when you enter the promo code during the payment process. The campaign registration will close on the 18th July 2020 and there are a total of 100,000 codes available.
Health workers who are eligible can enjoy the promo with 3 other people. So this means you can get a total of 4 tickets with a discount under the same booking. The 40% off is only applicable for the base fares and it does not include taxes, and is subject to seat availability.
Turkish Airlines has also revealed some blackout dates where the promo isn’t valid and are excluded from the promo. This includes 29/07/2020 – 04/08/2020, 28/10/2020 – 02/11/2020 and 15/12/2020 – 31/12/2020. The promotion is valid for one-way and round-trip flights from/to all destinations on their network.
