As announced by the Prime Minister today, Malaysia will be going through a Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) which allows domestic travel starting 10th June. If you’re planning to travel interstate by flight, AirAsia has extended its RM129 all-in-fare promo until the 8th of June 2020.
The one-way promo fare which starts from RM129 is for BIG members and the price is all-in inclusive of taxes and fees, subject to availability. For non-BIG members, the fares will start from RM134.
The domestic fare promotion is applicable to the following flights for travels between 1st July to 19th November 2020:
- From Kuala Lumpur to Kuantan, Kota Bharu, Langkawi, Alor Setar, Kuala Terengganu, Bintulu, Kuching, Miri, Sibu, Labuan, Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan, Tawau
- From Penang to Kuala Lumpur, Langkawi, Johor Bahru, Melaka, Kuching
- From Johor Bahru to Kuala Lumpur, Langkawi, Ipoh, Alor Setar, Miri, Sibu, Tawau
- From Kota Kinabalu to Bintulu, Miri, Sandakan, Sibu, Kuching, Tawau, Johor Bahru, Kota Bharu, Penang
- From Kuching to Bintulu, Sibu, Miri, Johor Bahru, Kota Bharu

All AirAsia guests can utilise their credit accounts to redeem the flights and they can make unlimited flight date changes without a change fee for travels up to 31st December 2020. Do note that you will have to pay for any fare difference if any and it is also subject to seat availability.
Although interstate travel is permitted, everyone is advised to adhere to the new normal practices. This includes wearing a face mask at all times at the airport and during the flight. For AirAsia, only one carry-on bag is allowed and it must be placed under the seat in front of you. Larger bags must be checked-in as they do not allow bags to be stored on the overhead bins to minimise contact. AirAsia had resumed domestic flights in Malaysia since 29 April but it is limited for essential travel only. International travel is still not allowed.
