Samsung Galaxy A21s powered by Exynos 850 is now available in Malaysia

Samsung Malaysia has gotten really busy with its Galaxy A series in the past week. After quietly releasing the Galaxy A11 and the Galaxy A31, we now have the Galaxy A21s on our shores. This is their latest mid-range smartphone that offers a quad-camera setup and a huge 5,000mAh battery.

According to retailer DirectD, the Samsung Galaxy A21s is priced at RM939 and it comes with 6GB RAM and 64GB of storage. Several other retailers are also offering the device on Lazada.

Interestingly, the device is listed with an Exynos 850, which is a new 8nm processor for budget phones. It is an octa-core unit that uses Cortex-A55 cores that are clocked up to 2.0GHz. If the 64GB internal storage isn’t enough, you can expand it further via a microSD card.

The Samsung Galaxy A21s has a 6.5″ HD+ (1600×720 pixels) Infinity-O display that has a 13MP selfie camera on the top left corner. For imaging, it gets a quad-camera setup that consists of a 48MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and two 2MP shooters for macro and depth effects.

Powering the device is a large 5,000mAh battery which supports 15W fast-charging via USB-C. The device has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and it also supports face unlock.

For RM939, there are better sub-RM1,000 mid-range smartphone options that provide a much better display and a large battery. If you can fork out an extra RM160, you could get the Galaxy A31 that has a full HD+ AMOLED display, double the storage and it also has NFC support for Samsung Pay.

Here’s a recap on the current Samsung Galaxy A series lineup in Malaysia:

Galaxy A11 3GB RAM + 32GB storage – RM599
