Honor 9X Lite has arrived in Malaysia, priced at RM699 with freebies worth RM219

Honor Malaysia has finally announced the Honor 9X Lite, which is a new budget smartphone that comes with a large 6.5″ display and a 48MP main camera.

The Honor 9X Lite is officially priced at RM699 and comes with 4GB RAM + 128GB of storage. During its first day sale on the 28th of May, Honor is providing a 10,000mAh Honor powerbank worth RM149 and a RM70 online gift coupon for free on HiHonor.com. Alternatively, you can also get the Honor 9X Lite with free powerbank on its official store on Shopee. The device is available in Emerald Green and Midnight Black.

The Honor 9X Lite is basically a refreshed Honor 8X that comes with an upgraded camera. It has a 6.5″ FullView LCD display with a notch and it pushes a Full HD+ resolution of 2340×1080 pixels. Under the hood, it runs on a Kirin 710F processor and it supports GPU Turbo 3.0. If the 128GB storage isn’t enough, it still accepts microSD card expansion up to 512GB.

The rear gets a dual-camera setup with a 48MP main camera and a secondary 2MP shooter for depth effects. For selfies, the 9X Lite comes with an 8MP front camera. It comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and it also supports Face Unlock.

Since this is based on an older device, it doesn’t support 5GHz 802.11ac WiFi and it still charges via microUSB. The battery is similar to the 8X with a 3,750mAh capacity and it supports 10W charging.

Out of the box, it runs on EMUI 9.1 that’s based on Android 9.0. In case you’re wondering, the device still comes with Google Mobile Services. This means it still has Google Play Store and it has Google apps and services pre-installed.
