Astro has announced that it has decided to offer its full Sports Pack customers a special rebate of RM20/month for the next two bills. This is due to the postponement of sports events globally due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the pay-TV provider, the latest decision is part of Astro’s initiative to support its customers during the movement control order. At the moment, all Sports Pack customers can continue to enjoy access to all Astro channels (except pay per view movies and events) for free while other customers can watch complimentary channels for News, Learning, Asian Movies and Stay Home Concert channels.

The rebate is applicable to all active Sports Pack customers as of 31st May and the rebate will be reflected in their next two bills that are issued in June and July. The offer is valid for residential customers only.

According to CK Lee, the head of Sports at Astro, live sports are making a comeback. He added that Astro has went live with Bundesliga, K-League and UFC last weekend and will broadcast more live sports events and leagues as and when they resume. He also shared that Astro is proactively in conversation on the return of live sports with the respective rights holders.
