Asus has just announced that that a “complete” range of laptops powered by AMD’s Ryzen 4000 Series mobile processors is now available in Malaysia. According to Paige Shi, Head of AMD Asia Pacific & Japan Consumer Business, the mobile processors in the series offer a blend of battery life and high performance, for both gaming and ultra-thin portable laptops.
This includes the ROG Strix GA35 & G15, along with their flagship gaming laptop, the ROG Zephyrus G15 as well as the VivoBook S14. Meanwhile, Asus also says that the ROG Zephyrus G14 is set to arrive sometime in June 2020.
As for the Zephyrus G15, you’re looking at the new AMD Ryzen 7 4800HS mobile processor which has twice the cores that the previous generation has, with 7nm technology helping to ensure a compact, efficient package. According to Asus, this also helps with power consumption, which will then generate less heat in turn.
That’s paired to GTX 1660Ti Max-Q graphics with 6GB of GDDR6 VRAM, while Asus’ HyperCool Technology (dual 12V fans, 3 air vents) also helps to keep temperatures down. Of course, you get a 144Hz refresh rate for the 15.6″ Full HD IPS display, and 65W charging is supported via USB-C PD 3.0.
For storage, the ROG Zephyrus G15 comes with a 1TB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD with a double M.2 slot, while you get 8GB of DDR4 3200 RAM, plus an additional 8GB.. Retail pricing has been set at RM5,299 for the single variant available in Malaysia.
Additionally, the company has announced the availability of two ROG Strix gaming desktops. For the Strix GA35, the top spec option features the Ryzen 9-3900X mated to the RTX2080Ti, while the GA15 has a Ryzen 7-3800X mated to the RTX2060 Super for graphics. Both desktops have SATA HDDs for storage, with up to 2TB available on the GA35 and 1TB for the GA15. Meanwhile,
Pricing starts at RM4,299 for the GA15, with the range-topping GA35 available at a price of RM14,999.
