With the reopening of selected businesses this week and the permitted interstate travel that started since yesterday, road users can continue to enjoy cheaper petrol in the coming week. The government has announced the latest prices and it is the same across the board as the previous week.

Malaysia petrol price 9 to 15 may

Below is the fuel prices for the period between 9th to 15th May 2020.

RON95 – RM1.25/litre (unchanged)

RON97 – RM1.55/litre (unchanged)

Diesel – RM1.40/litre (unchanged)

Diesel (Euro 5) – RM1.50/litre (unchanged)

The prices for both RON95 and RON97 petrol have remained at RM1.25/litre and RM1.55/litre respectively for 5 weeks straight. Meanwhile, the price of diesel remains unchanged for three weeks.

Do note that interstate travel permitted between 7th to 10th May is only meant for those who are stranded at their hometowns. Interstate travel for other reasons including balik kampung is not allowed. Applications must be made via Gerak Malaysia and a QR code will be required. Petrol stations along the highway will operate between 6am to 12am.

Meanwhile, the government has also lifted the 10km radius limit for essential shopping. On top of that, they are now allowing up to four family members in a single vehicle.
