At the moment, there are a total of 6,383 cases in Malaysia. Unfortunately, there’s one new death reported, which brings the total death toll to 106.

There are 83 new recoveries today, and a total of 4,567 cases have recovered and discharged so far. The current recovery rate is 71.55% while the mortality rate is 1.66%.

At the moment, there are 1,710 active cases remaining which are still receiving treatment. 24 are currently in ICU while 8 are requiring respiratory support.

According to the Ministry of Health’s breakdown, there are only 3 states that have reported new cases. 23 are in Kuala Lumpur, followed by 5 in Selangor and 2 in Sarawak. 21 new cases are from EMCO areas and there are no new imported cases today.

Based on the latest info provided by the ministry, 111 districts are labelled as green zones followed by 80 yellow zones. Meanwhile, 10 districts are still considered red zones. The red zone districts are located in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Johor, Negeri Sembilan and Sarawak. However, if you look at the individual districts, 11 areas are currently labelled as red zones.

According to health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, the ministry urge all Malaysians to comply with the CMCO guidelines and to practice good personal hygiene including washing hands regularly with soap and water. On top of that, everyone must also adhere to social distancing guidelines and to adopt the new normal.
