The government has revealed the fuel price for the coming week and there’s no change in pricing across the board. The price for RON95 and RON97 remains unchanged for four weeks straight, while the price of Diesel is the same as last week.

Below is the fuel prices for the period between 2nd to 8th May 2020:

RON95 – RM1.25/litre (unchanged)
RON97 – RM1.55/litre (unchanged)
Diesel – RM1.40/litre (unchanged)
Diesel (Euro 5) – RM1.50/litre (unchanged)

As mentioned previously, the price of RON97 at RM1.55/litre is the lowest since 31st Jul 2005 while the price of diesel at RM1.40/month is the lowest since 1st April 2016.

With the reopening of more sectors starting next Monday, 4th of May, we can expect an increase in vehicle usage as more people are going back to work. It was recently announced that two people from the same household are now allowed to travel together to buy essential goods during the movement control order. However, the 10km limit still applies unless the required essential goods or necessities are unavailable within the permitted radius.
