The new ‘Crash Bandicoot Mobile’ game is currently available for download, but only if you’re an Android user in Malaysia. This is presumably as a beta test that’ll precede a global launch soon.

The game franchise has had recent successful game releases, including the ‘N. Sane Trilogy‘ which launched on the PS4 in 2017, and in 2019 with ‘Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fueled‘. Fellow platform game Super Mario also previously had gotten the mobile game treatment with ‘Super Mario Run‘.

It is currently available on the Google Play Store to download for free, however the game appears to have been soft-launched only in Malaysia so far. The developers behind ‘Crash Bandicoot Mobile’ described the game as “classic ‘Crash’ in a brand new adventure”.

From gameplay footage, the game lets you run automatically, tap the screen to perform Crash’s spin attack, swipe up to jump and swipe down to slide. Sliding your finger across the screen looks to steer Crash. It will be an ‘endless runner’ where users are expected to keep going until they hit an obstacle.

You’ll also play in ‘Turtle Woods’, ‘Lost City’ and ‘Temple Ruins’, three locales from previous games, and you’ll also collect items for Coco Bandicoot’s base of operations and weapons. And like ‘Super Mario Run’, micro-transactions are likely to be an option in this free-to-pay game.

‘Crash Bandicoot Mobile’ is developed by King, the same company behind popular mobile games like ‘Candy Crush Saga’ and ‘Farm Heroes’. You can start playing the game if you have an Android and your Google Play Store‘s region is Malaysia.
