Ikea Restaurants in Malaysia are still open during the movement control order. If you can’t visit your nearest Ikea, you can now order your favourite meatballs and curry puffs, and have it delivered to your doorstep.

At the moment, Ikea is offering 15% discount for all delivery and takeaway services. For delivery, they are partnering with Bungkusit which is available on both Apple AppStore and Google Play Store.

Unlike your typical GrabFood and FoodPanda, Bungkusit is an order fulfilment service that has a more manual process. You can put your request in and you’ll pay the rider when your order arrives.

At the moment, Ikea isn’t officially listed on the Bungkusit app but you can place an order by selecting your nearest Ikea branch as the pickup point. The delivery fee is dependent on the travel distance.

In terms of pricing, the 16pcs beef meatball or chicken meatball are priced at RM16.50 (before discount). Meanwhile, the Salmon fillet is priced at RM22.90 (before discount) while 6pcs curry puffs costs RM5.50 (before discount).

When you order from the Ikea Restaurant, you are required to buy the JAMKA 1.1-litre food container that costs RM3.20 each (before discount). According to the Swedish brand, they currently do not accept food containers from home for hygiene reasons and to prevent contamination.

Do note that Ikea restaurants are only open from 10am to 5pm daily. For more info, you can visit the Ikea Restaurant page.
